School Report Card Info & Updates

Our students continue to experience academic growth coming out of the pandemic and are outpacing the academic growth of most comparable school districts across Illinois. We are currently on track to meet/exceed our reading growth goals on the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) by the year 2025. Additionally, our schools have improved quality and student success indicators. District 189 now has 6 of our 9 schools recognized as “Commendable” by the State Board of Education. While there are reasons to celebrate, we recognize work must continue to ensure all schools and special populations are rated as “Commendable” or “Exemplary.”
